About WhichCrema

WhichCrema compares home espresso machines and coffee grinders for US buyers. It reads published specs, keeps the source, and shows the lowest price on file. It is not a shop, and it does not taste the coffee.

Editorial standards

A spec is verified only when this dataset records a source and a URL. Unverified specs stay on the page with that label. Unknown means the field was left blank on purpose rather than filled with a guess. A null verified value, such as no portafilter on a super-automatic, means not applicable.

Scores are formulas over those specs. They are not cuppings, lab extractions, or durability tests. The weights and point tables live in the same constants the methodology page prints. A missing input leaves that score blank.

No brand, retailer, or agency pays for rank, inclusion, or a higher score. Affiliate links do not move a model. Lists state the rule they sort by. Pod machines stay off the best-value and beginner lists so a capsule cannot win those rankings on price or convenience alone.

Prices

A price is either a verified snapshot, with a source URL and an observation time, or a sample. Sample amounts are placeholders so the pages can render. They are not quotes. Sample prices never send a price-drop email.

An Amazon price is published only when Amazon’s Creators API returns it. This site does not display Amazon dollar amounts from Keepa, Rainforest, sample estimates, or the retired Product Advertising API. PA-API 5 was deprecated in May 2026. Until the Creators API responds for a confirmed ASIN, the Amazon row has a link and no price.

Amazon links use Associates tag whichcrema-20. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Other retailers stay ordinary nofollow links until that program’s query string is set in the environment.

Corrections

If a stored spec disagrees with the current manufacturer page, the manufacturer page wins. Write to hello@whichcrema.example with the product URL and the line that is wrong. Guides marked Draft are review copies: they are omitted from the sitemap and sent with noindex until the draft flag is turned off.
